Do your products really have a Lifetime Warranty?

Yep. For life. If your Triton gear ever breaks because of a defect, we’ll fix it or replace it—no excuses, no fine print. We build gear to last, and if it doesn’t, that’s on us.

How do I register my warranty?

You don’t. No “forms” or “serial numbers” to fill out. If you bought from our official Amazon store or this site, you’re covered. Just hang on to your order number, and if something ever goes wrong, hit us up at support@tritonwild.com. A certified product tech will take care of you within 24 hours. Ezpz.

How do I get support if I need it?

Do you actually test your stuff?

Can Triton digital night vision scopes be used during the daytime?
How far can I see with a Triton digital night vision scope?

Viewing distance depends on the model, infrared output, target size, focus, humidity, vegetation, ambient light, and weather conditions. Detection distance also differs from positive identification distance.

Triton offers compact models for wider fields of view and full-size StarStrike models for extended observation. Buyers should compare the published detection distance for each model and select the magnification range that matches their expected environment. Clear identification should always take priority over maximum advertised distance.

Do I need infrared illumination to use digital night vision?

Digital night vision can amplify available light, but infrared illumination is required for the clearest image in complete darkness. Most Triton night vision packages include integrated or dedicated infrared capability, keeping the system ready for nighttime operation without requiring a separate primary viewing device.

Triton offers different infrared configurations across the StarStrike family. Higher visibility wavelengths generally provide greater reach, while covert 940 nanometer illumination is less noticeable to animals and better suited for discreet nighttime observation.

We will have new tech coming in that will no longer require IR illuminators so stay tuned.

Which Triton digital night vision model should I choose?

The StarStrike Gen II delivers the essential day and night viewing package with straightforward controls and integrated infrared capability.

StarStrike Pro HDX models add a higher resolution display, faster image processing, picture in picture viewing, expanded reticle controls, and upgraded recording features. HDX identifies Triton models with higher display pixel density for finer image detail and more precise digital reticles.

StarStrike Ultra HDX models add an integrated distance measuring system. The StarStrikeX emphasizes manual focus, extended operating time, and compact 1x to 6x versatility. The Recon45 prioritizes minimal size, reduced weight, and an angled mounting position.

Will a Triton digital night vision scope maintain zero under recoil?

Triton digital night vision scopes use electronic reticle adjustment that allows the aiming point to be moved and saved during the zeroing process. Once properly installed and secured, the saved digital zero remains stored in the optic.

Always follow the installation instructions, use the recommended torque values, and confirm that the selected model is approved for the recoil level of the firearm. Every Triton digital night vision scope is backed by the Triton Lifetime Warranty for added confidence in the field.

Low Power Variable Optics (LPVOs)

What is an LPVO, and how is it different from a red dot?

An LPVO is a low power variable optic that begins at approximately 1x and increases to a higher magnification such as 4x, 6x, or 10x. At 1x, it provides a wide field of view and rapid aiming. Increasing the magnification improves target identification and precision at greater distances.

Unlike a red dot, an LPVO has an etched reticle that remains usable without battery power. Triton LPVOs combine this always available aiming system with adjustable illumination and variable magnification in one optic.

Should I choose a 1x to 6x or 1x to 10x LPVO?

A 1x to 6x LPVO is the strongest all-around option for buyers who prioritize speed, a forgiving viewing position, compact dimensions, and practical precision at common distances. It is usually the easier choice for training, hunting in mixed terrain, and general field use.

A 1x to 10x LPVO provides additional magnification for target identification and more precise aiming at extended distances. The only drawback is a tighter eyebox at 10x and may require you to adjust your head once you reach those levels making it less for rapid deployment, but provides extra reach.

Should I choose a first focal plane or second focal plane LPVO?

A first focal plane reticle changes size with the target image as magnification is adjusted. Its ranging marks and hold points remain proportionally accurate throughout the magnification range. This is useful for shooters who regularly use reticle measurements at different power settings.

A second focal plane reticle remains the same visible size. It usually appears bolder and easier to acquire at lower magnification, making it a strong choice for rapid close-range use. Triton offers both designs instead of forcing every shooter into one system.

Is an illuminated LPVO reticle the same as a red dot?

No. An LPVO uses an etched reticle that remains visible when illumination is turned off or the battery is depleted. Illumination adds contrast against dark backgrounds, shaded terrain, or visually complex targets.

Should I choose an MPVO, an HPVO, or a fixed power scope?

How much magnification do I actually need?

Choose magnification based on the majority of your shooting rather than the longest distance you might attempt once. Lower magnification provides a wider field of view and generally makes it easier to locate targets. Higher magnification supports detailed observation and precise aiming but requires steadier positioning and more careful eye alignment.

For general use, a Triton 2x to 10x or 3x to 9x scope covers a wide range of conditions. For dedicated precision work, 4x to 16x, 5x to 25x, or 6x to 24x models provide additional detail.

What is the difference between first focal plane and second focal plane rifle scopes?

First focal plane reticles grow and shrink with magnification. Their MOA or MIL markings remain proportionally accurate at every power setting, making them useful for ranging, wind corrections, and elevation holds without returning to one specific magnification.

Does a larger objective lens always make a scope better?

What does a 3 MOA dot mean?

What is Shake Awake, and how does it affect battery life?
