Mounted this on my 308. Really like the optics and the illumination. First time the scope mounts moved and front one came off of the picatinny rail from the recoil. Tried a second time and really tightened everything down. Still moved. Went to another set of mounts that have the bar in them that prevents movement and locks the mounts in place on the slots in the rail. Problem solved. The mounts are why this is 4 stars. The scope itself is very nice and a huge upgrade from my old scope.
So I got the 6–24x version for stretching legs at the range and glassing long pastures. The 50mm objective and coatings pull in respectable light through mid-magnifications; at 24x the image softens a hair but stays serviceable for spotting hits on steel. AO parallax works fine; again, the ring could be smoother. SFP at high power means your holdovers won’t be “true” except at one setting—learn your subtensions and you’re golden. Turrets are tactile and repeatable for the price, with decent return to zero. Size-wise, it’s long but not ridiculous; balances better on heavier rifles. Build feels tougher than the price tag suggests—no shift after a hundred rounds of 6.5CM. Value is strong if you want reach without donating a kidney. Fitment is straightforward with medium rings; 50mm bell clears most rails. Wish list: brighter reticle and improved low-light at 20x+. For casual PRS practice and big-field hunting, this one’s a sleeper
