StarStrike Gen 2

I was looking for nighttime viewing, this does that. The digital viewer is a bit grainy but not sure what to expect in this price range. You give up daytime quality.I am really ok with all those points. My frustration is I have it on my spring compression pellet Gamo and have shot it maybe 100 times and the screws are falling out of it. Screws appear to have been cross threaded.Reached out to the company and they have sent me a new scope. They were very attentive and quick to response.

I don’t normally write reviews but WOW, this product is amazing. I have a beaver problem at my land I had let go for years and with the recent flooding I had to do something about it. With my normal scope around dusk when they come out I can’t see. With this scope I buried 3/3 of them in one night. They had no idea I was there. You can follow the ripples in the water with the scope and their eyes illuminate in the IR. The recording function is a bonus and the rechargeable batteries. Awesome product for the price

Everything seemed okay with the scope, it was working properly and then I go to use it for maybe the 50th time Not sure what happened to mine all of a sudden but it won’t focus for anything I spun the focus ring both ways along with the cup countless times and it never got worse or better like it’s just stuck where it got unfocused which is honestly confusing beings my scope never got hit.

It does do nightvision.. but very grainy. Save your money for a better one. 1 year later and mine still sits in the box. I didn't even bother mounting it on my rifle

Great scope! However the first one I got was broken right out of the box

Difficult to manipulate and use while trying to acquire a target. Illumination quality seems to be poor on my scope but might just be a faulty item that I received.

The scope arrived, I tried to charge one battery, it was dead. The other battery charged and I got the chance to look through what I thought was the perfect scope. 15 minuets, dead battery. This scope has never been mounted, both batteries are dead and will not charge, and all the scope does is click. I bought new batteries. The box cover says it has a lifetime warranty. Should Triton, the Starstrike honor the warranty, I would be GLAD to offer a honest review. Right now, I'm not very happy.

It won’t reliably charge and the batteries die very quickly when you can get them to charge, making the scope essentially unusable.

Works pretty good for a gen 2. To see longer distances and clearer at night you will need to use the IR light on it. Sturdy housing seems pretty rugged. Has some cool features to it that are in the product description. Price was good for the quality of a gen 2 night vision scope.

battery life with supplied batteries is dismal optics lacks fine adjustment also the scope ring bolt was cross threaded

Did anybody’s else’s star strike come dead?

This is my first actual review I’ve ever left but felt I needed to on this. First I’m going to say I’m impressed with the quality especially for the price. The only issue (and the reason for 4 stars instead of 5) is when I went to mount it on my Ruger 10/22 the bars the set screws go into are too big for the slots on the scope mount. I have it mounted but if I were to be using this regularly then it would definitely come loose.

For the price I don't think it can be beat.

Good sight for the money. First, for those of us that wear glasses, the diopter is NOT a true focusing diopter. It just extends the eye piece forward or back. Second, The focus is very limited. I found daytime use adequate at best. It is NOT a true 5x-20x as we know a 5x-20x rifle scope to be. I would NOT consider this scope to be "HD" in any way. Finally, the reticles (cross hairs) are way to large. It also mounts very high on the rifle. I had to use a cheek riser. BUT...If you are on a budget, and want a "good" night vision scope, this will do. IR is very good. I was able to get relatively "good" accuracy, both day and night. I could easily get 2"-3" groups consistently. Good enough to hit small game. I don't intend on using this scope out to great distances, 50-100 yds are my needs at the moment, so it is more than adequate.

Very nice scope had problems with the battery life ,you’ll need a charger to the unit in the field that’s unacceptable at a range maybe a small charger but in the field not so good

Bought it for my husband and he says it performs as well as his buddies high dollar scope! Vision is great!

Hard to put on dead center

A clear winner with this scope. The brightness is amazing. Great quality for the price.

It doesn’t work well in the woods it picks up every stick every leaf and puts it all in the same frame

The first one sent would not zero. The second one works perfectly no issues what so ever even after 10 months of steady day and night on my .30 cal pcp pellet rifle.I found customer service on the first one to a-okay.

The media could not be loaded.

So far it’s been amazing it can handle the recoil of my AR pretty well easy install easy sight in battery life kinda sucks I’d just recommend keeping an extra couple batteries (they ain’t normal so figure out what kind they are)

I like that its easy to operate even if you cant look at the interface however the manual only focus is annoying also if you run out of power its useless there's not a no power mode to just use optics without enhancements and the color day mode has a tendency to drop to bnw in any low light setting and no option to turn the day night to a specific mode and lock it there unless your using the ir

Super bright optic even on dim setting. Leads to minutes of light blindness. Sun par digital clarity on screen. I returned mine and bought a used more expensive scope.

Nice scope for the money ! Very nice features

So far so good. Fast learning curve. This is my first night vision scope. I have a hog problem and the first night I simulated a hunt to practice with all the buttons to familiarize myself. The second night popped a hog. My hunting area is about 100 yards. That is about the limit of this setup. Zeroing the scope was confusing at first. The manual does lack the info that the “up” button lowers bullet impact and the “left” button move the bullet impact right. Unlike traditional scopes. But that said everything else is good to go. YouTube has many videos on this. For $300 it’s pretty nice, accurate, and in warm weather the battery last awhile. Day time use is decent but work well in an open area for guns critters in total darkness.

Actually good quality for the price. The batteries do die fast but the scope is fun! It even comes with a SIM card which is convenient, and the recordings are pretty cool

Clarity is very poor even with full light. It does not work well at night as well. I cannot see anything at any range in darkness.
