Housed in an aircraft-grade aluminum body, the scope utilizes a sealed, argon-purged chamber engineered for waterproof, fogproof, and shockproof operation. A 24mm objective lens channels light through Extra-Low Dispersion (ED) glass elements, maintaining sharp focus and accurate color reproduction across the entire zoom spectrum. It attaches securely to standard Picatinny rails, fitting AR-style platforms, bolt-action rifles, or carbines chambered in .223 Remington, 5.56 NATO, or .308 Winchester.

true 1x LPVO can provide a fast, natural sight picture for close range use, especially when paired with a bright center aiming point and a properly adjusted diopter. Shooters can keep both eyes open to maintain awareness of the surrounding area while acquiring the target.

An LPVO still requires consistent eye placement, unlike a traditional red dot. Triton designs its LPVOs around true 1x performance, clear edge definition, visible illuminated aiming points, and practical eye relief. Models such as the Ronin, Warden, Tekken, and Navigator provide close range speed while retaining variable magnification for targets farther away.

A 1x to 6x LPVO is usually the best all around choice for shooters who prioritize close range speed, a forgiving sight picture, lower weight, and straightforward operation. Six power magnification remains useful for target identification and precise aiming at practical intermediate distances.

A 1x to 10x LPVO provides additional reach for shooters who expect to observe smaller targets or make more precise shots at greater distances. The tradeoff is usually a tighter viewing position at maximum magnification and a larger optical system.

We offer both configurations. The Ronin, Warden, Mariner, Tekken, Orion, and Navigator families include 1x to 6x options, while the Mariner, Orion, and Navigator Plus families offer 1x to 10x configurations.

A first focal plane reticle changes apparent size as magnification is adjusted. The reticle markings remain proportional to the target throughout the magnification range, allowing the shooter to use holdovers and ranging references at any power setting, there are more moving parts in a FFP which increases the price.

A second focal plane reticle remains the same visible size at every magnification. This keeps the aiming pattern bold and easy to acquire at 1x. Any calibrated holdover references are generally intended for use at a specified magnification, usually maximum power.

Triton offers both options. Choose a Tekken, Orion, Navigator, or Navigator Plus first focal plane model when consistent subtensions are the priority. Choose a Ronin, Warden, or Mariner second focal plane model when a bold, consistent reticle and rapid close range acquisition matter most.

A simple center dot or cross pattern provides an uncluttered aiming point for shooters who prefer fast visual processing. A circle or horseshoe design helps guide the eye toward the center during close range movement. A BDC reticle adds reference marks that can assist with elevation and wind corrections at longer distances.

Triton offers several reticle configurations across its LPVO lineup, including center dot, cross, chevron with BDC patterns. The Navigator Plus is available with Chevron C2 and Dot C5 BDC options, while the Tekken offers C5 Dot BDC, Cross BDC, and Apex Cross BDC choices.

Reticle illumination improves contrast when aiming against dark targets, shaded terrain, or visually complex backgrounds. Higher brightness settings help the center aiming point remain visible in daylight, while lower settings are useful during dawn, dusk, or indoor use.

Illumination should support the reticle rather than replace it. Triton LPVOs use visible reticle structures that continue to provide an aiming reference when illumination is turned off. All of our LPVOs have illumination as a standard feature.

Eye relief is the distance between the shooter’s eye and the rear lens where a complete sight picture is visible. The eye box describes how much forward, backward, upward, downward, and sideways movement is allowed before the image begins to darken. In general, the eye box gets tighter the more magnification range you have. If you are looking for minimum head adjustment for CQB setups, you will want to opt for lower power LPVOs such as 1-4x and 1-6x but if you value long distance targeting and do not mind adjusting your head a bit while operating, you ca

Proper eye relief is essential for comfort, speed, and recoil clearance. The optic should be positioned while the shooter is in a natural firing position, preferably with magnification set to maximum because eye placement is generally most critical at higher power.

Select Triton LPVOs, including the Ronin and Warden, provide approximately 3.5 inches of eye relief. Proper installation lets the shooter obtain a full sight picture without stretching the neck or changing normal body position.

The mounting system must match the diameter of the LPVO’s main tube. Common diameters include 1 inch, 30 millimeters, and 34 millimeters. A mounting system made for one diameter cannot safely secure a scope with a different tube diameter.

Triton offers LPVOs across several tube configurations. The compact Ronin uses a 1 inch tube, the Warden uses a 30 millimeter tube, and the Navigator Plus uses a 34 millimeter tube. All Triton LPVOs come with the correct size mount. Always verify the tube diameter listed on the individual product page before selecting a mounting system.

The mounting height should also provide a comfortable cheek position and adequate clearance around the optic.
